After high school graduation, I joined the Army reserves and spent 2 years at the University of Maryland, College Park and 2 years at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. I had a scholarship from the Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing (WRAIN) and I graduated as a 1st LT with a degree in nursing. I had a 3 year payback. I was stationed at Fort Dix, NJ, Seoul, Korea and Ft Sam Houston, TX. I met my husband Chris in Seoul while we were both stationed at the 121 Evac Hospital. We married in 1976 and were stationed in Ft Carson, CO, Germany and most of the time in the DC area. I worked at Holy Cross Hospital for 17 months and them sought training in computers. I became a Federal employee and ended my career at DHS as an IT project manager. I have been retired since 2011 and love living outside Ocean City, MD. So much to do, so little time.
(If you are a Guest Member please describe your relationship to the Class of 1969)
I remember several picnics beside lakes. The gang I can remember included Sharyn Lee, Wayne Olsen, Bill Danka, Jimmy Kaya, David Scott, Pat Morgan, Mary Brandt. Memories are a funny thing. I remember enjoying high school and all the people that made it special.
